Disgusting developments tonight as Gardai confirm they have launched a search to find a female doctor who they believe performed a female genital mutilation of a 2-yr-old girl last week in Dublin.
A Somalian man in his 30’s living in Crumlin was arrested on Thursday night in relation to the horrific incident, but was released without charge on Friday morning.
In this latest development, gardai are looking for a female doctor they believe carried out the act which left the poor little girl in hospital as a result.
If found, charged and convicted, the so-called “doctor” will rightly have the heavy hand of the law come down on her the shape of a 14 year prison sentence and a €10,000 fine.
This isn’t standard practice as a journalist, but if this woman did this gruesome act on that little baby girl, I for one hope they throw the book at her.
