In the past hour Gardaí have confirmed that a young baby has had a narrow escape this evening after a number of shots were fired in a gangland hit in Finglas.
According to various reports a gunman shot a number of bullets at a vehicle in the car park of Charlestown Shopping centre, Finglas at approximately 6.15pm. It is understood the unidentified gunman missed his intended target in the incident, but his shots hit off a car with a young infant inside.
Gardaí say the scene is currently cordoned off and they are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them.
