34-yr-old Anthony Lambe from Annadrumman, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan, has admitted murdering Irene White in her home in Dundalk in 2005.
According to RTE News, the man admitted the murder when the charge was put to him at the Central Criminal Court early this morning.
Irene White was a mother of 3 young children. She was found murdered in her house nicknamed locally as “the ice house” beside Ice House Hill Park on 6 April 2005.
At the time, it was a very busy area of the time as Carroll’s Village was open and quite near where the lady’s murder occurred.
34-yr-old Lambe will be sentenced late this afternoon.
