Gardai have confirmed that a number of shots were fired as officers confronted a man wanted in connection with the disappearance of 24-yeara-old Jastine Valdez shortly after 9pm.
It is understood that the man was located in the Cherrywood area of Dublin.
The man is said to have been armed with a knife and aged in his early 40s. He was rushed to hospital but has died from his injuries.
Gardai have again re-issued help in locating Jastine Valdez who went missing yesterday evening in Co. Wicklow. It’s believed she was manhandled into a Nissan jeep.
They’re investigating reports of a woman being bundled into a Nissan Qashqai 171-D-20419 driven at speed by a man near Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow.
A passer-by reported witnessing a female pedestrial being forced into a vehicle on the (R760) south of Enniskerry.
Later on, 24-year-old Jastine Valdez was reported missing by her family. She was last in the Enniskerry area.
