Met Éireann have issued another severe weather warning for counties Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare, Wexford and Meath as heavy snowfall is expected throughout Friday.
The latest red status weather warning which will remain in place until 9am on Saturday morning, comes after the country was subjected to high winds and heavy snowfall overnight, with some places seeing an accumulation of 1 metre of snow.
In announcement made in the past few minutes Met Eireann say further winds and heavy snow is expected this evening and then again overnight.
