According to various reports a woman with ebola like symptoms has been rushed to the National Isolation Unit at the Mater Hospital, after she fell ill at her Dublin home.
It is believed that the woman in question has recently returned from a trip to Nigeria. Emergency protocols have been put in place worldwide to treat people who may have such symptoms after returning from a country where ebola is reported.
Although, a spokesperson for the HSE has went on the record saying that the risk of the woman having contracted ebola in Nigeria is very “low”.
