Police in Finland have confirmed in the past few minutes that a man who reportedly stabbed several people in the south-western city of Turku, has been shot in the leg and taken into custody.
It is understood the man’s arrest comes after a number of stabbing incidents occurred in the Puutori-Market Square area of the city.
According to state media reports it is not yet known if there are any major casualties, but a number of eyewitnesses at the scene have reported seeing a number of bodies lying on the ground.
It is not yet known if the attack is terror related.
