Breaking: Possible plane hijack situation in Manila airport after pilot radios “plane is under threat”

There’s a possible hijack situation currently going on in Manila airport in the Philippines after a Saudi Airlines jetliner has been isolated after the pilot was heard shouting on the radio “plane under threat”.

The plane, identified as SVA 872, landed at Manila airport at 3pm local time. It arrived from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. According to local ABS-CBN channel, there may be around 300 passengers onboard.

Local reports suggest the plane may have been hijacked. Other reports say the pilot could have pushed the alert button by mistake.

Emergency services are currently at the scene.
