Gardai in Balbriggan North County Dublin have issued a warning to the public for them to close their doors and windows following a major gas leak in the town.
Although it is not known where the leak has come from or what exactly caused it residents are being urged to keep their windows and doors shut until further notice.
In a brief message on Twitter Garda Traffic said: “Gas leak being dealt with in Balbriggan. Residents please closed your windows/doors. Some traffic diversion in place.”
