Breaking: Search teams confirm they’ve found “significant amount of wreckage” of the tail of helicopter Rescue 116

Searches werer hampered over the weekend for the remaining crew members of helicopter Rescue 116 as inclement weather has made it almost impossible to progress in the search.

Captain Dara Fitzpatrick was laid to rest Saturday after being the only crew member to have been recovered from the tragedy which occurred last Monday.

Search teams have confirmed tonight that they have located what they’re calling “significant amount of wreckage” which they believe to be the tail of helicopter Rescue 116.

It appears the helicopter may have crashed into rocks on Blackrock Island, air investigators say.

This news has broken tonight and shows strong signs that the search teams are honing in on hopefully locating the three remaining crew members of Rescue 116.
