A seven year old boy and a man have sadly died following a light aircraft crash in Co Offaly this afternoon.
It is understood the pair who were onboard the flight which carried 16 parachutists, were critically injured after the aircraft crashed near the Mountlucas wind farm near Edenderry.
However in the past few minutes Gardaí confirmed that the pair were removed from the fuselage of the aircraft.
Gardaí say the aircraft which took off from Clonbullogue Airfield, crashed shortly after 2:30pm on Sunday afternoon.
