Spanish media is reporting that police have arrested one of the terrorists but it’s not yet known if it was one of two armed men who were hiding in a restaurant.
Although local media are reporting that at least 13 people have been killed, Catalan Police say there’s 32 people injured, 10 of whom seriously with 1 person dead after a white transit van mounted the pavement and ploughed into a group of pedestrians.
Local media are also reporting that two armed men have entered a restaurant and have machine guns. This has not been confirmed but police have said that it’s a terrorist attack and that the occupants of the van fled on foot.
It’s understood that one of the men in holed up in the restaurant is the driver of the van.
This terrorist attack is still ongoing and people are advised to stay indoors in Barcelona.
