BREAKING: Storm Callum makes landfall with winds expected of up to 130km/h

It’s time to brace.

Ireland will see its first storm of autumn 2018 in the form of Storm Callum.

Met Eireann has issued an Orange weather warning to cover Cork, Kerry, Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath, and Waterford.

Strong winds are expected to reach speeds of up to 130km/h.

The storm has already started to see winds picking up across the country but especially in the South West of the country since 1am.

It’s understood that the storm could cause serious flooding along south and west coasts later tonight and tomorrow.

People are advised to stay out of harm’s way until the inclement weather subsides.
