There was some bad news for Visa card holders as the company confirmed this evening that they are experiencing widespread disruption when it comes to processing transactions.
The problem which is affecting thousands of customers across Europe, comes after Paymentsense, a company that facilitates card payments, has reported that businesses and companies using their service are struggling to take Visa card payments.
In a statement released on their website the company said the following: “There is currently a disruption of service in taking payments from VISA. It is affecting all payment providers across the UK and Ireland”.
The company also issued an apology for any inconvenience caused, and stated that they are currently working with Visa in order to address the problem.
It is thought that a total of 60,000 business merchants use the card processing company’s services across Ireland and the UK.
