A man in his late 40s and from east Cork has collapsed and tragically died during a game between Douglas Camogie Club and Brian Dillons GAA.
Medical personnel treated him using a defibrillator before he was taken to Cork University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
GAA officials say that a cause of death has not been released to the public but that the entire community is in shock at the tragedy.
