There’s much confusion, including in our office, as to what exactly the Brexit means to both the UK and Europe today.

A massive win of around 1.3 million votes shows a very decisive win for the Leave side and a definite no referendum re-run.

Besides Scotland and Northern Ireland, England was a gigantic 60%+ to leave with the most surprising result coming from Wales going for a 55% out.

Effectively it will mean that when the UK eventually do leave the EU officially in the coming months, it will now have complete autonomy over their own laws, immigration law, taxes and courts.

Many believe the the EU wants complete tax harmony, a completely federlised State and freely roamed borders, something that particularly went down badly in northern England.

The UK will now the power to set up real trade deals with America and Europe, the very idea that the European Economic Community was set up to do – a common marketplace to trade with no tariffs.

Again, many believe the EEC wasn’t set up to impose its own flag, anthem, laws or proposed army.

If anything, the UK’s economy will eventually rise again only higher that before. It’s currently the 5th richest economy in the world, the UK will become a serious world player now and economic centre of Europe.

It could even surpass Japan within the next 5 years. Would you like to see a referendum here in Ireland?
