Peter Casey gave a sterling performance on last night’s Late Late Show even though there seemed to be a very loaded audience against the Derry man.
Peter was, in my opinion, very rudely interviewed by Ryan Tubridy who had just over one hour earlier appeared to lick the ground Mary Robinson walked on. The comparison couldn’t have been clearer.
Peter was questioned about his excellence performance in last week’s Presidential race which saw him come second with 342,000 votes, or 23%.
Hijacked by travellers in the audience, Peter handled himself with dignity and at one point asked Tubridy was this a “party political broadcast”.
Peter said that he is definitely going to pursue his career in politics and will be Taoiseach. He’s strategically looking at joining Fianna Fail and giving Martin the door.
