The British Prime Minister Theresa May has said she will fight on despite questions surrounding her future following a revolt from some of her cabinet ministers.

Ms May who has been subjected to a barrage of criticism in regards to the latest Brexit draft deal with the EU, has vowed to fight on even though some cabinet ministers have submitted letters of no confidence in the Prime Minister.

The major uncertainty in the British Government has come after Ms May agreed a deal that will keep the UK and Northern Ireland within the customs union until 2020 under a temporary backstop.

Speaking on Thursday, the British PM said the deal that she had agreed with officials in Brussels is the right one for the British people and it aligns with what the British public voted for.

Ms May also said there will not be a second referendum on Brexit and claimed there was no other option available that wouldn’t require a backstop.

The Britsish Prime Minister’s comments come in a week when a Brexit draft was agreed with the EU and in the UK parliament, but the overall agreement has led to dismay amongst cabinet ministers handing in their resignation including Brexit secretary Dominic Raab.

It is believed that many hardcore Brexiteers have agreed that the agreement will ultimately lead to a breakup of the UK.

A sentiment that has been echoed by the DUP who feel that the current agreement will leave Northern Ireland separated against from the rest of the UK.
