Bus Eireann and Dublin Bus services have returned to normal after the planned 48-hour stoppage came to an end.
It is estimated that around one million passengers experienced disruption during the strike, and the cost of the industrial action is thought to run into millions. Both bus companies have served the unions involved in the dispute with legal letters, in a bid to recoup some of the losses.
If the row is not resolved, five more days of stoppages are planned for the month of May.
