Busted: Gardai arrest man in suspected major Hutch-Kinahan gangland murder plot

An arrest has been made in relation to the ongoing Hutch-Kinahan gangland feud. A 36-year-old man was arrested at Dublin Airport on suspicion of conspiracy to murder an associate of the Hutch gang.

Garda made the arrest on Sunday evening and will be able to hold the suspect for up to seven days, without charge, for questioning. It is believed the man was been closely monitored as part of the investigation of the attempted murder of James “Mago” Gately.

This arrest comes on the heels of another major seizure of cash by the Garda, thought by detectives to belong to the Kinahan cartel, at a routine traffic checkpoint.
