Calls for Dublin Bus driver Christy Carey to be given his own television show after he was a major hit with viewers

Social media users have called for Dublin bus driver Christy Carey to be given his own show following his extremely successful documentary last night on RTE One titled “Toughest place to be”

Dublin bus driver Christy Carey swapped his number 27 Tallaght route for a day driving around Kathmandu in the RTE one documentary “Toughest place to be”.

The boisterous Dubliner was hilarious throughout his adventure but was very respectful to the family who housed him and lent him their bus.

He showed a hard-man image mixed with an emotional family man one and viewers both respected and loved it.

Christy accepted the challenge to drive a bus in one of the world’s most polluted and congested cities. He had just one week to get used to driving in a country where the rules of the road are practically anything goes, the roads are terrible and the buses are falling apart but he made a great stab at it.

If you watched it, you enjoyed it, if you didn’t – catch it on the RTE player.

Many social media users have commented on The Liberal’s Facebook page that Christy Carey should be given his own show because the entertainment factor was so high.

Christy was a natural in front of the camera and it’s very easy to see how he could have his own adventure show.
