With hundreds of people on stretchers around the country today, there have been fresh calls for the newly appointed Minister for Health Simon Harris to “just do something” to try and solve the crisis.
Harris has done little to nothing since he was appointed to sort out the health sector disaster in the country.
Health care expert Gertrude Brannigan says:
“We need Simon Harris to just do something. It’s high time he gets to the real problem and that’s waiting lists. There’s literally thousands of people waiting on trolleys and waiting to even be seen around the country. There’s no point in Simon Harris talking about this, that and the other, if he doesn’t do something fast, it’ll be too late and the crisis will be completely out of control”, she concluded.
