Calm and settled weather at the start of the week, but things will take a turn for the worse by the weekend

Though summer (and I’m using the term rather loosely here) is now officially over, the weather forecast isn’t too bad until midweek this week.

It will be rather dry and settled today and tomorrow, with temperatures hovering between 14-18C.

Wednesday will probably be the best day. Highs of 19-20C in parts of the country are expected.

However, from Thursday onwards the high pressure area will begin to move away, bringing the possibility of wetter and more unsettled weather in.

Friday and next weekend are expected to be fairly wet and miserable, so no Indian Summer to speak of yet.
