Rescue teams will be given a small break today as the calmer weather means they can finally extract the wreckage of the located Rescue 116 helicopter.
They tried yesterday afternoon but the inclement weather made it practically impossible to free the wreckage.
A body at the front of the helicopter is believed to be that of crew member Mark Duffy but again his body cannot be released as the wreckage remains trapped.
The efforts will continue starting again from 10am.
