Can you help? A woman has lost her beloved engagement ring on a street in central Dublin

Derek Cobbe contacted The Liberal to see if our readers could help his wife, Silvia find her beloved engagement ring and signet ring which she has lost in Dublin.

Silvia was in Temple Bar last Monday 28th August around 4pm. She had taken the couple’s Down Syndrome daughter to the toilet in Costa Coffee, East Essex St. where she removed her engagement ring and her signet ring and put them in her jacket pocket.

They then walked up East Essex street, towards Temple Bar, removing her jacket on the way, then across Crown Alley to Dame street before realising that the rings were no longer in the jacket. She searched back along the way to Costa but needless to say could not find any trace of either rings.

The entire family is said to be extremely distraught and heartbroken over the loss of the engagement ring which is of enormous sentimental value. It is a white gold single diamond solitaire ring, it is engraved “Derek & Silvia 1998”. The second ring is a silver signet ring with a single quartz stone.

Derek told The Liberal:
“Somebody must have picked the rings up, and we appeal for the public’s help in trying to locate them. A reward is offered. We would appreciate any help you can give”, appealing for social media sharing of the ring.

If you can help, please contact Derek on 087 9076575. Below are some images of the rings:
