Local authorities have identified the five people killed in yesterday’s newsroom massacre in Annapolis, Maryland.
The victims have been named as Robert Hiaassen, Wendi Winters, Rebecca Smith, Gerald Feshman, and John McNamara.
The five were killed after a gunman entered the premises of the Capital Gazette newspaper and opened fire.
It is understood that the suspect, who was apprehended by police, had previously sued the newspaper for defamation.
He has been named as 38-year-old Jarrod Ramos. Ramos had a long standing feud with the newspaper, and had made open threats against in on social media.
