Carnage on the roads as four people lose their lives over the weekend

There were four road fatalities over the past weekend.

The accidents happened separate road collisions in Kerry, Dublin, Westmeath and Wexford.

A mother of three was killed in Lixnaw, Co. Kerry, on Saturday morning. Two teenage passengers in the car escaped serious injury.

A 44-year-old motorcyclist died when his vehicle collided with a car on the Ballymount Road Lower in Walkinstown, Dublin, on Sunday afternoon.

A 24-year-old woman passed away in Beaumont Hospital on Friday evening from injuries received when she was struck by a car in Glasson Village, Co. Westmeath.

And in Co Wexford, a 94-year-old man died after the car in which he was travelling crashed on a minor road at Gurteenminogue Lower, Murrintown, at approximately 4.45pm yesterday.
