A group of men, at least one of them armed, threatened cash-in-transit staff during the robbery. The men seized a large amount of cash and made good their escape.
A staff member was left with minor injuries following the incident, which took place at approximately 7.40am this morning on Cork Street, Dublin.
Gardai were alerted, and a man in his 30s was arrested a short distance away from the scene. Gardai also recovered a sum of money and a firearm.
Shortly afterwards, a van believed to have been involved in the heist was found ablaze at Dublin’s Barn Green.
