It has emerged today that the accused of the Charleston church shooting, Dylann Roof, wrote a racist manifesto some time before the incident at the historic North Carolina church that left nine people dead.
Pictures have appeared of Roof posing with a handgun in front of a Confederate militaty museum and slave houses.
The pictures have struck a nerve with the city of Charleston’s black community, as they show sites and landmarks with special significance in the African-American story of the city.
