A German pilot got in the festive mood earlier this week when he mapped out a Christmas tree whilst flying over the country.
The image of the giant tree complete with Christmas decorations was spotted by air traffic control after they monitored the pilots test flight of a brand new A380 airbus on Wednesday.
German officials who shared the image a mere few hours later on Flightradar 24 say the creative display seen the pilot travel for more than five and half hours and consisted of a 650km round trip from Hamburg to Stutggart.
In a message posted on the site controllers said: “Finished! A Christmas tree and ‘tree topper’ by an @AirbusA380.”
It is believed the rather decorative display was carried out as part of Hamburg’s flight and test evaluation of new and in use planes.
