Natrium, the consortium which purchased Clerys, have released a statement saying that a “significant investment” will be put in place, with the goal of “rejuvenating” the store.
According to Natrium, it will deliver “best-in-class mixed use destination”, aiming to revamp the entirety of the O’Connell Street thoroughfare.
However, there was no mention of the hundreds of staff who lost their jobs without notice, though Natrium did say that 1,000 jobs will be created during the planning, design, and building phases, and a “minimum” of 1,700 on project completion.
