The Coast Guard helicopter and Baltimore Lifeboat were called to help medically evacuate a man from onboard a fishing vessel in Roaring Water Bay, off the coast of Cork last night.
It is understood that the vessel alerted the coast guard requesting medical assistance after one of the two men onboard was overcome by fumes from a petrol pump. The man in question was airlifted to Cork University Hospital after being winched off the boat at approximately 8.15pm last night.
