Revenue Officers seized about €40,000 worth of cocaine and €12,000 in cash in two separate operations around the Cork area earlier today.
The drugs were seized at Cork airport, after a 28-year-old man disembarked from a flight originating in Faro, Portugal. He had half a kilo of the drug concealed in his suitcase.
Elsewhere in Cork, Customs Officers seized €12,000 in cash from a man who got off a ferry from France.
