#3 Shooting incident: 32-year-old man shot in broad daylight in Coolock, Dublin.

A lone gunman in a bycicle approached the man and shot him in the back with a shotgun, then rode off and escaped. The victim remains in a stable condition in hospital.

#4 Hotel fall: A 2-year-old boy is in hospital today with serious head injuries after falling from the mezzanine down to the lobby in a Liverpool hotel.
