Coffee to go: Ireland gets its first ever Starbucks drive-thru in Co Clare

One of the world’s leading coffee chains, Starbucks has officially opened its first ever Irish drive-thru store.

The coffee chain who have been in operation in Ireland since 2005, officially opened the store in Co Clare this week.

In a move that could be the first of many for the popular coffee chain, Starbucks say the store at Shannon Free Zone industrial park will be of huge benefit for those who want their coffee to go.

The store which will employ 15 people also contains an outdoor seating area as well as its traditional indoor setting.

It is hoped that many other Starbucks drive-thru’s will built across the country in the near future as the company look to build on its success in the Irish market as well as its global market.
