Commuter chaos looms on Wednesday morning, as Irish Rail begins strike action

Up to 150,000 commuters are expected to see their travel plans affected come Wednesday morning, as Irish Rail begins the first of five days of planned strike action.

Intercity, Dart, and Commuter services will remain idle tomorrow, as a row over pay deepens.

It is important to highlight that Irish Rail will not facilitate any alternative transport means, nor will rail tickets be accepted elsewhere. Those passengers who already bought tickets will be refunded.

There are four more days of strike action planned: Tuesday November 7, Tuesday November 14, Thursday November 23, and Friday December 8.
