The controversial Aras Attracta care facility in Co. Mayo may be shut down soon, after reportedly failing to adhere to orders for radical improvements at the site.
Aras Attracta became infamous back in 2014, after undercover filming revealed a litany of abuse committed by staff against residents.
Despite orders to upgrade and improve care standards, Aras Attracta continues to rate low in HIQA’s standards. The organization may soon move to revoke the facility’s licence to operate.
