Police in the North have confirmed that a convicted murderer who escaped from custody in Belfast City centre on Thursday has been arrested.
The man Christopher Kerr, 32, was arrested in the Antrim area on Thursday following a widespread search.
Police say Mr Kerr who is currently serving a prison sentence for the murder of 15-year-old Michael McIlveen in Ballymena in 2006, has since been arrested and is currently in custody.
Meanwhile the Prison Service of Northern Ireland have confirmed that an investigation into the incident is underway.
