Coroner confirms legendary singer George Michael died from heart and liver failure

The world was sent into shock on Christmas day when it was announced that legendary singer George Michael passed away aged 53.

Although the singer’s exact cause of death was not confirmed it was widely believed that the former Wham star died of heart failure, and now that theory has been confirmed after an inquest found that Michael sadly died from heart and liver failure.

The news was confirmed recently when Oxfordshire’s senior coroner Darren Salter released the following statement: “Inquiries into the death of George Michael have been concluded and the final post-mortem report received.”

“As there is a confirmed natural cause of death, being dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver, the investigation is being discontinued and there is no need for an inquest or any further enquiries.”

“No further updates will be provided and the family requests the media and public respect their privacy.”
