Cutbacks: Unemployed people who refuse job offers have seen their benefits drastically cut

New figures have been released showing that around 3,000 people experienced cuts to their benefits between January and March of this year alone.

The significant increase of the rate of unemployed people whose benefits have been cut is a result of job and training offer refusals.

If penalties continue at this rate throughout the year, up to 12,000 may see their benefits affected by December.
