A 50-year-old man has died following a collision on the M1 motorway in Dublin yesterday evening.
The man is believed to have been cycling on the southbound carriageway of the motorway near Swords in Co Dublin at about 5pm yesterday evening (Sunday) when he was struck, between the junctions for Donabate and Swords.
The man who has been named was taken to Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital where he was pronounced dead later on the evening.
The occupants of the vehicle are understood to have come out of the accident uninjured, and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
