Cyclist in a critical condition after a collision with a pedestrian in Phoenix Park.

Information is being sought into a collision between a pedestrian and cyclist which left a man in his 50’s with serious injuries.

A man in 30’s, the pedestrian involved received back and leg injuries.

The cyclist had been cycling on Chesterfield Avenue heading towards the city in the area between the Aras and Castleknock Gate.

The collison occurred at 8.40pm and the cyclist was taken to Beaumont Hospital whereas the pedestrian was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital.

It is reported that the cyclist is fighting for his life after the incident.
