Police in Denmark have charged over 1,000 young people after a sex video involving two 15 year old was shared on Facebook.
The charges which relate to the the distribution of child pornography comes after Facebook monitors in the US alerted authorities about the video which was reportedly shared 1,004 via the social media’s messenger app.
Following an investigation US police authorities passed on their findings to Danish police via interpol.
Although the legal age of consent in Denmark is 15, authorities say the film constitutes the distribution of child pornography.
If all those involved are found guilty they are likely to receive a 20 day suspended sentence or a fine along with a criminal record.
