The Department of Foreign Affairs have confirmed they have offered to provide counselling assistance to the family of a 15 year old girl who sadly died in a drowning incident in the popular resort of Crete.
According to local news website cretapost.gr, it is believed that the the young teenager was sadly discovered deceased in a hotel swimming pool on Sunday afternoon in the resort village of Stalida.
The paper also claims the teenager was reportedly found in the pool by her parents, and an ambulance was immediately called.
Although Paramedics tried to desperately to resuscitate her at the scene they were unable to revive her and she was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
