Taoiseach Enda Kenny was greeted by a highly personal message during a recent visit to Donegal.

A group of protestors held a banner displaying a message purportedly coming from his late mother, conveying her disappointment and fury at his disdain for the Irish people.

The banner had been made by members of the Donegal Water Warriors group.

There were around 50 protestors gathered at the event, with a large Garda presence at hand. The protesters chanted as Enda Kenny delivered his speech inside the building.

Mr. Kenny also launched an attack of his own. Referring to a possible coalition Government of Sinn Fein and independents, he said it would be “a political freakshow, free for all, where it’s none for all and all for none”.

And he also had time to advise against returning to the boom and bust cycle brought about by successive Fianna Fail cabinets, saying that it wouldn’t take much to put the country into reverse.
