Declan Ganley says a Yes vote would remove the right to life for thousands of unborn Irish boys and girls




Businessman Declan Ganley was debating Amnesty’s Colm O’Gorman this morning on the Sean O’Rourke show on RTE Radio 1.

O’Gorman continued the usual rhetoric from the yes campaign – but he was at the pin of his collar numerous times to answer Ganley who was obviously the better prepared of the two.

Defending the right to life and advocating a No vote, Mr Ganley said that thousands of unborn Irish boys and girls who have no right to life if there is a Yes vote on May 25th.

Citing facts that 1 in 5 babies are aborted for any reason whatsoever in the UK, Mr Ganley said that the proposed legislation here in Ireland would be even more liberal that in the UK with abortions being permissible up to 6 months under mental health grounds.

Numerous times Ganley told O’Gorman that he didn’t even know what was in the proposed bill and that it is abortion on demand for any reason whatsoever up to 3 months and not for women’s health.

According to social media, Mr Ganley’s point about the fact that unborn Irish boys and girls would see their right to life being removed struck a chord.
