Twenty three people have been arrested so far in connection with the Jobstown incident which saw Tanaiste Joan Burton become trapped inside her car for several hours. No charges have been brought against any of the detainees thus far.
A demonstration against these arrests is now planned for this coming Saturday at 2pm.
The arrests have been deemed as ‘political policing’ and ‘designed to criminalise anti-austerity campaigners’ by Paul Murphy and other groups.
