The Department of Foreign Affairs have confirmed that an Irishman has been injured after a car drove through a crowd of pedestrians in Melbourne on Thursday.
Although it is not currently known what the extent is of the man’s injuries the Department say have offered consular assistance his family.
The news of the Irish man’s injuries were confirmed after 13 other people were injured in the incident that seem awhite Suzuki SUV drive through agroup of pedestrians in front of Flinders Street Station just at approximately 4.30pm local time on Thursday afternoon.
Police say an investigation into the incident is currently ongoing and the driver of the vehicle along with a second man have since been arrested.
