The Minions movie may be taking over the world at the moment as it is being shown in cinema’s across the globe. But motorists in Santry north Dublin have gotten more than they bargained for as a giant inflatable replica of the popular Despicable Me characters has become loose from its restraints and has caused major traffic delays on the Old Swords Road.
It is understood that the inflatable minion was being used by a business nearby as part of an advertising campaign when it became loose and subsequently floated out onto the nearby road where it caused minor damage to passing vehicles.
Reports say the Gardaí had to be called out to the scene in order to deflate the air out of the inflatable minion.
