Despite Merkel’s condemnations, German Interior Minister says he would join anti-migrant protests as he understands outrage

Despite German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s condemnation of citizens protesting migrant violence her own Interior Minister Horst Seehofer has said he would join the vilified protesters, RT reported.

The leader of the Bavarian CSU party told the Rheinische Post that he understood why Germans were so outraged.

The most recent protests began after another German citizens, a 35-year-old man, was stabbed to death in the Saxony city of Chemnitz in the early hours of Sunday, August 26th.

Two migrants, one of whom was supposed to be deported in 2016, an Iraqi and a Syria were arrested and charged with the murder, Sputnik reported.

Now Chancellor Merkel says she will visit the city of Chemnitz while German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas has urged people to stand up to xenophobia, referring to citizens who draw attention to migrant violence, the UK Daily Mail reported.
